Last month I attended the first televised Danish wrestling show ever. I had a blast, met a bunch of the superstars and even brought home some fantastic memorabilia. There are no particular The Simpsons and hardly any hip-hop references in this post, so this is strictly for the people into good’ole rasslin! Me & Muggs: I met a Simpsons character!!
So, I’m back on the blog like I’s Quincy Jones cirka ’89… Granted I haven’t been great at keeping y’all up to date, and let’s be real, I’ll probably forget to do so again soon. But for now, here’s some cool isht: I met a Simpsons character in real life. You may remember the episode Homerpalooza, where Homer quits his job (again) to become a human cannonball stopper on a Lollapalooza-inspired rock-tour. One of the bands playing the tour is the legendary Cypress Hill and of course their DJ/producer was none other than DJ Muggs, leader of The Soul Assassins. Doug E Fresh and the Get Fresh Shoe
So I was chatting with my friend KimBlim and told him I had just bought the illest sneaks. His guesses for sneaks of choice was that it was either “Homer Air” or “Jake The Snake Superstars”. Man was he close to the mark!
Dr Dre roid’ed up, Britney hoe’ing down, Tommy and Kid Rock playing around: It’s the 2007 VMA’s
You signed me up for blogging? I’m a grown man! Which means while MTV’s VMA’s hit the screen at 2 AM last night, I was sleeping peacefully in bed. So this is a rerun-recap – not much fun in that, I already know Tommy Lee and Kid Rock are gonna fight, Britney Spears is gonna suck, and Kanye is gonna bitch about something. Well, the last thing hasn’t been spoiled yet, but it should be safe to say. Let’s see what else I already know beforehand. Amy Winehouse cancelled due to fighting personal demons. Lily Allen cancelled due to fighting a photographer. Meaning we won’t see any Britolicious girls pretending to be American soul-singers unless Joss Stone is in the building.
Hush Tour – A Trip Thru Hip Hop History
With the Hush Tour a trip down memory lane is literally that. Well, except the lane isn’t called memory and isn’t downwards but upwards. Instead it’s a northbound travel going from downtown Manhattan up to Harlem and The Bronx filled with all the stories of early Hip Hop you can possibly think of.

Al Shamsoon meet the The Singhsons…
There was a lot of talk about Al Shamsoon – the Arabic version of The Simpsons – when it was originally launched. It died down however when the censorship was nowhere near as funny as the banning of Winnie the Pooh for hanging out with the filthy Piglet. Turned out the Arabic version was pretty tame, but this Indian version seems much fresher:

Wrestling returns to Langå!
This coming saturday Danish pro-wrestling returns to the village of Langå. Sadly I won’t be there for reasons mentioned above, but the card looks even better than the kick-ass one we were lucky enough to witness last time:

Flanders: the movie
So there’s all this talk about the Simpsons Movie, but it seems their neighbor-eeno Ned Flanders beat them to it:

Rest in peace Beast From the East
Sadly Bam Bam Bigelow passed away this friday morning. He was 45 years old. Most of us will remember Bam Bam aka The Beast From The East (he represented the garden state New Jersey) as the big bald brute with flaming tattoos instead of hair who would headbutt unlucky mother-ufckers off the top rope. According to many wrestlers including Bret Hart he was one of the best, most agile big-men in wrestling, period.
